The Vision Behind Daiquiri 23
Jeff Carter, an American who moved to Panama in 2022, is a former military man who traveled the world extensively during his service. His global experiences shaped his appreciation for how food and drink bring people together across cultural boundaries.
After settling in Panama, Jeff noticed the growing expat community and saw an opportunity to create a space that would bring together locals and newcomers, fostering connections through shared experiences.
Drawing on his travels throughout the Caribbean and his love for authentic soul food, Jeff created Daiquiri 23 & Hookahs as a celebration of cultural fusion - a place where traditional Panamanian flavors meet Afro-Caribbean influences and North American classics.

While walk-ins are always welcome, we recommend reservations for weekend evenings and special events to guarantee your table. You can easily book online or call us directly.
What food options do you have?
Our menu features a fusion of North American soul food with Afro-Caribbean influences. We offer everything from shareable appetizers to hearty main courses, with vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
Is Daiquiri 23 family-friendly?
We welcome families with children during our daytime and early evening hours (until 8 PM). After 8 PM, we transition to a more adult-oriented atmosphere with our hookah service and full bar experience.
What sports do you show?
We feature international sports coverage including Premier League and La Liga soccer, NFL, NBA, MLB, and major international sporting events. If there's a specific game you want to watch, just ask us!
Do you offer non-alcoholic options?
Absolutely! We have an extensive menu of non-alcoholic mocktails, fresh fruit smoothies, and specialty coffee drinks. Our bartenders are happy to create custom alcohol-free beverages to suit your taste.
Is there a dress code?
We maintain a casual to smart-casual atmosphere. While we don't have strict requirements, we encourage our guests to dress comfortably but presentably – no beachwear or athletic wear in the evenings.
